This is an acrylic painting called "Fruit for the Taking." I wanted to make the painting
come to life and leave you with a taste
in your mouth.
This painting was done in oils and it's called " Looks of Fruit." It was difficult at first to capture the light at the bottom of the bowl and the bright colors.
This painting was done in acrylics. This painting is called "The Battle of Troy." In
this picture, Achilles is putting to rest
Hector, Prince of Troy. It's a battle for
your life. Who was powerful would
win the fight. This painting I created from a
picture in a text book which came from
a drawing on a wine jug artifact.
This was an ink wash called "Skull Wash." It was done in art school
back in 1997. This wash was hard for me at first
because once the ink is on paper you can
not erase it if you make a mistake.
This drawing was done in ink wash and is called "Pots to Drink". It was
created at art school. I like working with
ink wash. I like how it looks 3-D because of it's
roundness, it almost looks as if you can grab
it.
This was done in pencil and charcoals. It's called "House Needs."
My problem here was
trying to
keep a smooth look and blend the
charcoal with my finger to get a shadow
effect.
This drawing was done in charcoals and is called "Drawn Objects." It was
created at art school. I like working with
still life, but I'm always trying to make sure I
have all the details.
This drawing was done in oil pastels and is called "Colorful Cakes." Oil pastels are
hard to work with because if you don't watch out
they can blend into other colors and make your
drawing look muddy.
This project was done in black and
white charcoals. It's called "Large Hand." I think working with a
dark background and using two
different medias makes my
hand look real.
This acrylic painting is called " Together We Stand." It deals with the
Soviet Union. I just felt this painting
was a symbol of hope and justice to all.
It seem like a powerful painting to
create.
